1. INTRODUCTION
ASPENSI (Asosiasi Sejarawan dan Pendidik Sejarah Internasional / International Association for Historians and History Educators) in Bandung, in collaboration with UPI (Indonesia University of Education) and UNINUS (Nusantara Islamic University), have aim to identify the critical issues related to educational matters. It brings together the various partners involved in Indonesia and Asian and African countries, including Nigeria: lecturers and teachers, policy makers and government agencies, and other learners themselves. How the history, concepts, principles, implementations, problems and solutions, and prospects on the Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education in Indonesia and Nigeria, should constitute a wealth of learnable knowledge for all to discuss and share.
“Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education in Indonesia and Nigeria Based on Historical Perspectives” is the main theme of Round Table Conference. In this framework, the conference will be aimed at identifying and constructing the various aspects of Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education in Indonesia and Nigeria, such as its genesis, development, prospect, problem and solution, and sharing the experiences and possible alternatives of gaining and enhancing the quality of prosperity, progress and democracy in Asian and African countries. So what important here is also to build silaturahim (networking) among the scholars, lecturers, teachers, and practitioners in Asian and African countries, particularly between Indonesia and Nigeria.
2. OBJECTIVES
The general objective of Round Table Conference is to reconstruct the genesis, principles, and practices on “Politics of Education and its Implications toward Social, Cultural, and Human Resources Development in Asian and African Countries, particularly between Indonesia and Negria”.
Specifically, the objectives of this Round Table Conference are: (1) to provide a forum for sharing and caring the latest ideas, developments, and research findings on Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives in Indonesia and Nigeria; (2) to identify issues that can increase interests, achievements and involvements in Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives in Indonesia and Nigeria from diverse socio-cultural and geopolitical backgrounds; (3) to compare and contrast the practices on Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives in Indonesia and Nigeria from diverse socio-cultural and geopolitical backgrounds; and (4) to strengthen linkages and encourage networking amongst Indonesia and Nigeria historians, history educators, administrators and leaders in Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives and its Implications toward Social, Cultural, and Human Resources Development in Indonesia and Nigeria.
3. SUB THEMES
The sub-themes of the Round Table Conference are: (1) Case studies for Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives in Indonesia and Nigeria; (2) History of educational institutions, including theory, methodology, curriculum and assessment in Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives in Indonesia and Nigeria; and (3) ICT or Information and Communication Technology’s literacy: challenges and responses in Guiding and Counselling and Moral Education Based on Historical Perspectives in Indonesia and Nigeria.
4. LANGUAGE
This Round Table Conference will use all in English.
5. OPENING CEREMONY
The Round Table Conference will be opened officially by Prof. Dr. Rudi Susilana, as Dean of Education Faculty UPI (Indonesia University of Education), when the activity organized at UPI Campus; and Prof. Dr. Haji Obsatar Sinaga, as Rector of UNINUS (Nusantara Islamic University), when the activity organized at UNINUS Campus, Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia.
6. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Invited keynote speakers are representative from Indonesia and Nigeria. They are: (1) Prof. Dr. Dinn Wahyudin of UPI, Indonesia University of Education, Bandung, Indonesia; (2) Prof. Dr. Mary Ogechi Esere of UNILORIN, University of Ilorin, Nigeria; (3) Prof. Dr. Haji Endang Komara of UNINUS, Nusantara Islamic University, Bandung, Indonesia; (4) Dr. Lateef O. Adegboyega of UNILORIN, University of Ilorin, Nigeria; (5) A.J. Jamaluddin, M.Pd. of SMA, Senior High School, Cibiru Campus UPI in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia; and (6) Dr. Aminat Adeola Odebode of UNILORIN, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
7. CALL FOR PRESENTER AND PARTICIPANT
The Committee will invite experts, lecturers, teachers and others to submit their full papers in the Round Table Conference. The deadline for abstracts and full papers is 30 April 2023. The abstract and full paper must not exceed between 10-20 pages (single spaced) and sent to the Secretariat of Committee via e-mail at: suciandi@upi.edu or atriwusidna@gmail.com
The deadline for participants’ registration and paying the DP (Down Payment) of Conferenre Fee is 28 February 2023. The number of participants will be limited, so that early registration is strongly encouraged.
8. WORKING PAPERS AND PUBLICATION
The papers will be selected and reviewed for publication in Minda Masagi journals nationally as well as internationally, such as: (1) SOSIOHUMANIKA: Jurnal Pendidikan Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan, published every May and November; (2) EDUCARE: International Journal for Educational Studies, published every February and August; (3) TAWARIKH: International Journal for Historical Studies, published every April and October; (4) ATIKAN: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan, published every June and December; (5) SUSURGALUR: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah & Pendidikan Sejarah, published every March and September; and (6) INSANCITA: Journal of Islamic Studies in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, published every February and August.
9. CONFERENCE FEE AND FACILITIES
The participants have to pay an International Round Table Conference’s fee as amount as IDR 5,500,000 (USD 395) per one person. By paying the fee, the participants will get fasilities freely: (1) Stay at the Setiabudhi Indah Hotel in Bandung City for 5D4N or 5 Days and 4 Nights; (2) Air-conditioned and comfortable Tourist Bus, in which the participants come from abroad will be picked up by Committee at SHIA, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta to Bandung; (3) Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with Sundanese taste; (4) Free tickets for entering to Edu-Tourism destinations in Bandung, such as: Begonia Flower Garden, Asian-African Conference Museum, and Saung Angklung Udjo; (5) Accepted papers will be publihed in journals nationally and internationally owned by Minda Masagi Press in Bandung; (6) get a branded ASPENSI T-Shirt; and (7) get the conferenre kits, journal prints, and certificate of partcipant.
10. FURTHER INFORMATION
The registration will be closed on 28 February 2023. The DP (Down Payment) as amount as IDR 1,000,000 (USD 75) should be paid on February 28, 2023. On last April 2023, all fee of Edu-Tourism with an International Conference, i.e. DP IDR 1,000,000 (USD 75) and IDR 4,500,000 (USD 320) = IDR 5,500,000 (USD 395) has to be paid.
